Great food, awesome scenery...even in the winter when you mosey in there for lunch and watch the ice fisherman drive back and forth across the frozen lake to their shanties. In the summer, it isn't the perfect weekend unless we boat up to Norton's pier and have a little leisurely lunch and cocktails. Luke is one of the best bartenders I have ever had the pleasure of sitting across the bar from. Seriously good - hilarious, chats with everyone, constantly anticipates what you need, and keeps the bar impeccable. You find yourself sitting at the bar far longer than you meant to on a Saturday afternoon! The burgers are AMAZING. Seriously. Norton's is a must for all visitors to Green Lake.

Good food and great service. Try the bacon wrapped scallops or the bleu cheese chips as an appetizer. Next time I'm in Green Lake, I'll stop back at Nortons. Good stuff.

My first Fish Fry at a wedding rehearsal dinner we crashed was the first real meal we had in Wisconsin. Good stuff! Not sure what type of fish it was, but the simple meal of breaded white fish, french fries and some tasty cole slaw was a great way to start the Wisconsin experience. The staff were friendly, talkative and funny. Great family atmosphere and spectacular view of Green Lake. Also had my first Old Fashioned cocktail which set off a very nice buzz. Sweet and strong. Definitely worth the short drive from town.

Norton's is a genuine Wisconsin supper club dining experience. Very comfortable and unpretentious place overlooking the lake. Great cocktails. They've got a dock if you want to come to the restaurant by boat. This is probably the best restaurant in town.

I give 2 stars for the food. Since new owners a few years ago, they just have not figured out how to get that kitchen running right. BTW, the kitchen is closed (yes, I said closed) between 2 and 4 pm to "get ready for dinner". Not even a bar menu! Are these people crazy????I would give one or two stars but the atmosphere and views make up for their lack of culinary know-how. Although the decor is right out of 1972, it works. You can drive over on your boat, tie up at the dock, sit outside and relax on the shore of beautiful Green Lake. If only they could update that menu and improve the food they could be a yelp 5 star.

We had a wonderful dinner this week to celebrate a birthday. I don't understand the negativity in some of these reviews. The ambiance was wonderful, the service was attentive but not overly so, and the food was great! There wasn't anything we didn't enjoy. They even had two servers for our table of 8 and it was busy. You will love the view and the food. By far the best place in town. And it was fun to boat up and dine. Just a very memorable experience.

We were lucky enought to stay next store for our anniversary. Got in lake friday night so we needed to eat close by.Glad we chose Norton' s.Our server Sarah was a delight.Very friendly and personable. I had the perch fish fry, light coating and generous portion.Very good. Not fishy. My husband had a filet.Cooked exactly as he wanted.Filet came with soup and salad. Great blue cheese dressing. My husband is not a soup fan but totally enjoyed the creamy vegetable soup. All the food was hot .Great warm rolls and whipped butter, crisp salad.Had to try the homemade key lime pie and it did not disappoint. Great start to our weekend. Thanks Nortons. If I could give it more stars I would.

Well... we've been here for an hour and a half at 8:30 on a Sunday night... just got seated and the restaurant is half way empty. Was told when we checked in they had a table ready right away. After waiting at the bar for 40 min we double checked, and reminded the hosts we were there. We are hoping for great food... but at this point, our server just came by. Didn't even introduce herself.. we had to ask who she was... but we are hoping this wedding party night will be a blast regarding the Norton ' s staff lack of service , timeliness or knowledge that there are people waiting for almost 2 hours to be served. We shall see. Lol.

This restaurant is of great historic importance to our family. So every time we rent a house on Green Lake, the entire family eats here. Over the years it has had its ups and downs but the lake view never changes. The old fashions are outstanding. The wine by the glass is fine. My daughter and I had seafood and were very happy. The rest of the family had steaks and they were overdone and just OK. The appetizers and salads are good as are the side dishes. Our server was very friendly and professional. She was perfect with our three children we had with us ages 6, 3 & 9 months. This would be a 4 or 5 star rating if the steaks were better.

Great service, great atmosphere and over the moon pricing for very average food at best. I don't mind paying a high price for any food provided there is some value. Unfortunately, there wasn't any value when it came to the food. You have to look long and hard to find the small baked potatoes they served and it wasn't a fluke since they were all the same size. 28.00 for a stuffed chicken breast, 27 for walleye, one fillet only and not really fresh. You'll get me once, but not twice.

This was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Food is great. Great atmosphere , good service. Great place to relax. Walleye is highly recommended.

Terrific service, wonderful food. The appetizers are great: bacon-wrapped scallops, sesame tuna, crab cakes. Their french onion soup is very cheesy and has a depth of flavor in the broth. The side salad was iceberg lettuce and a few fix ins' -- would have been much better if it were Romaine lettuce. The walleye pike, broiled was flavorful and perfectly cooked; the garlic mashed, which the waiter recommended, was nothing special (not very garlicky hot (temperature wise). My dining partner had the crab legs and she said these weren't anything special. Still, we had a great time, wonderful service, a separate bar and views of Green Lake.

The food is good. I love their blue cheese potato chip appetizer and it's a wonderful place to grab a drink on the lake on a summer day.

We had a wonderful meal at Norton's. I had the scallops, and my girlfriend had the ribeye. The portion of 4 "jumbo" scallops was very (too) small, but they were cooked to perfection and served with garlic butter. Also, I filled up on delicious soup, salad with amazing bleu cheese dressing, yummy yummy bread, a baked potato, and grilled asparagus. The ribeye was a huge portion and perfectly cooked. The dining room is cozy and the view lovely.

We were with a large wedding party for a rehearsal dinner and this was our venue! It was pretty good! I think we arrived early, because we puttered around the top part of the bar for a long time. The old fashioneds were lovely. There is a top part of the bar that is set above the rest, so you sit in a regular chair and are pulled up to the bar. It made me smile. We were seated in a more private section and the servers were a little huffy, but good nonetheless. The food we had was all spectacular. I had bacon wrapped pork chops. Others had some chicken pesto dish which was fine as well. We all also had cajun mushroom soup to start, which you would think would have been awful, but it wasn't! Overall, it was very nice and the best food we had all weekend. We stayed at Heidel House and if we have to stay there again, we'll try to eat our meals at Norton's instead.

Overpriced, just ok food. Not crazy about dinner menu item selection. Have always experienced friendly and competent servers, though. Best part is the setting -- beautiful wall of windows overlooking Green Lake.

The absolute best restaurant around Green Lake. We went here halfway through our stay and by far it was the best. Food was delicious, best service on the lake, and drinks galore. This is a must visit dinner spot! The new management has clearly turned this place around.

Fantastic View. Excellent Bar. Decent Cocktail.....you can see the decline.....the food was lousy. I am not one to return food, and I did not, but the cook needs some work. THe staff was nice, there probably is not a better view...but for $100 for 2, two cokatails and two entrees, the food better be very good. Too much sauce, slightly over done, tasteless soup...

I have been here every year for many years. The overall experience has declined. We were there with a large group (most who had been there before) and the general consensus was the same. The steaks were of poor quality, the crab legs were lousy, and half the time the staff seemed irritated with our business. The view, the bacon wrapped scallops, and the lobster tails bumped this from one star to two...barely. I'd recommend stopping for a drink and some scallops if you really want the view or are coming in on a boat, and then do dinner elsewhere.

When in Wisconsin, you must go to a Fish Fry. A Fish Fry you ask? It's fresh fish fried to perfection that's accompanied with some yummy cole slaw and fries. When you're in Green Lake to be exact, your dining options are limited. If we didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, we had Norton's, Goose Blind (a bar & restaurant) and maybe two other restaurants as our options in this small town. We were the guests at our friend's wedding rehearsal dinner here last month and we had a great time enjoying our all-you-can-eat fish. I loved it (and I'm a rather picky eater when it comes to my fish & chips), If you're in Green Lake for a little getaway, go to Norton's.

Three of us went to dinner there last night and it was disappointing. Way overpriced for the quality. We don't mind paying the price for quality food but it was lacking.

Had dinner with 3 family members. We ordered an appetizer and never received it. Apparently the cocktail waitress never told anyone. I ordered the walleye. Everyone else ordered ribeyes medium rare. All 3 came well done. We sent them back and I proceeded to eat alone. 2 were fine when they came back the third was not but he ate it anyway. Once we ordered drinks from another cocktail waitress and she proceeded to come back and ask us who's check it was going on. Overall experience was terrible.

The New / Old owners are back. The prior owners were there just to party and the guest were second rate. George and his wife are doing GREAT. I have been there a few times since the change and the food is great but still needs to be updated a little more. BEST PLACE AROUND GREEN LAKE
